About the Artist

I graduated from the East Carolina University School of Art in 1995 with a B.A. in Communication Arts. Originally an Art History major, I ultimately decided to pursue a career as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Over the years, I have sought to hone both my creative and technical skills—while never losing sight of my passion for fine art.

As a designer for major corporations including Fujitsu, IBM and Seer Technologies, I have worked on a variety of projects including technical manuals, online help systems and internal corporate communications. As a Marketing Manager for SpectraSite Communications, I developed corporate ad campaigns and branding strategies.

Throughout all of my professional experience, I have always returned to the world of fine art painting. Initially working in watercolors, I have gravitated towards acrylics and mixed media in recent years. I often draw on my childhood, and many of the classics of children's literature.

Currently, I am Web Art Director for Early Design Group in Raleigh.
